Today is my first time leaving my home to somewhere so far away. I am the only one within my friends slept for only 4 hours. My mum drove and dropped me in airport. At first, I thought I’m the first person to reach airport. But later I found out it was Huixin was the first one. I am really surprised that Koonlong, Yongcai and Wayne will be there waiting for us. We talked and cracked jokes for a while before Baohui joined us at 0615.

I kept teasing Baohui that “Ya… the person who stayed nearest to Changi Airport came here latest. Make us wait for you…”as she was late. We kept taking photos, talking and start to get more excited about this trip. I kept wondering what we would be doing for the next few weeks.
We took the flight to Guangzhou from Changi Airport at 7 plus in the morning. I hate to take airplane because I dislike the pain when the airplane descended or flying. I can feel the super long lasting wiggling pain in my ears. But I do like the airplane food except for the fish. The fish inside the bento is not only fried, but also tasted super salty. I think I’ll get hypertension and had a lot of the leftovers. Some other course mates complained about the saltiness of the fish. The two persons, whom I still don’t know their name, sitting beside me keep cracking jokes. I kept laughing.

After I left the plane, I met Xiao Wah, Jin Rong, Jack Boon, Hanshu and Chiongrui. We ate our first meal in the restaurant in the airport. It is a super expensive. I was quite shocked to see one simple plate of Pork Rib Rice cost me about SD$12. The bottled green tea is even worse, it cost about RMB20, which is about SD$4. I dare not to buy drinks in airport now. Tasting the food is one big challenge. It looked greasy but the taste is blends with pork rib despite the pork rib tasted a bit saltier.

We left Guangzhou at about 3pm. We transfer flight from Guangzhou to Wuhan. It wasn’t as bored as the previous one since Baohui and Carmen exchange the seat with the 2 guys. We kept talking and chatting for the full 2 hours. We alight from the plane and took bus to come to our hostel.

We reached the hostel at around 8pm. Xiao Wah, Baohui and I shared the same room. At the first glance, the hostel facilities are excellent. We have 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room and 1 common bathroom. Everything in the apartment seems to be better than what I expected. However, when we switch on the heater in the bedroom at night, it does not work. Tonight is really cold; I kept shivering when I am bathing. I jumped into the bed almost immediately so that I can get some warmth. Many of the facilities are also faulty, e.g.: the internet connection, the washing machine is not in working order, the toilet bowl cannot flush and the basin will drip water.
