Day 6
I am still sick. I have flu. I still have sore throat and coughing.
I woke up early again.
All of us except the CEE boys (since most of their classmates were sick) decided to go shopping in Ya Mao shopping centre taking bus 715. I still can’t get used to the way the local drives. The bus driver not only speeding, the passengers also need to be very quick. In Singapore, the bus driver drove slowly but steadily. Baohui and Eileen fell down when they could not get their gripped on the handrail.

When we reached the shopping centre, their goods and services are very expensive. One plain T-shirt cost at least RMB 75 (SD$15). I bought a NIKE bag cost around RMB 150 (SD$30). We decided to go to Macdonald’s as we became hungry and thirsty after long window shopping. We saw Macdonald in China sells chicken-ham snack wrap (RMB6) which apparently not available in Singapore. I did not buy it since I’m still having my sore throat. I heard that it is delicious. We waited till 3pm to meet Mr Wee and the rest.

After meeting them and left, we decided to go to Carrefour to refill our necessities. As we could not find Bus 510 to Guang Yu Centre, we started to walk around the street. We went shopping crazily. Sales are almost available in all the shops. We bought some things despite the sales assistant’s attitude is horrible. They just throw the change on the table and get irritated if we did not move away after we paid in the cashier.

Total amount of spending for today is about RMB 320. 1 Tee shirt, 1 long sleeve tee and many bargained accessories for all my dear friends in Singapore and one NIKE bag for me. :)

We took taxi back to hostel. The taxi fare cost about RMB$24. The taxi driver driving is terrifying fast. I sat on the front seat and experienced the new type of driving. I always thought that Drifting is just a high technique driving skill that you can find only in Initial D, I guess I’m just like a frog in the well. At that kind of speed of the taxi driver driving, it is not just a dream anymore. The ride is even more thrilling than having a ride in roller coaster. I saw the way the driver cut the lane. Oh-my-god, I was very nervous. I could not speak properly. One of the typical funny scenes that have been known to my classmates started like this:
Alicia: Wuhan Institute of Technology
Driver: … where is it?
Alicia: … (I pause for a while), Wu..han?
This part becomes the joke of the day.
